AGCL with Tripura Industrial Development Corporation
Limited has formed a joint sector company
- "Tripura Natural Gas Company Limited"
with headquarters at Agartala in the year
1990.
ACTIVITIES :
Presently supplying piped natural gas to
6300 domestic, commercial and industrial
consumers in the city of Agartala.
Started a mega project to supply piped natural
gas to 30,000 domestic, commercial and industrial
consumers of greater Agartala city.
2 nos of brick kilns are supplied with piped
natural gas for use as fuel replacing conventional
fuel like coal.
NEW LIKELY CHANGES
:
In Agartala the CNG project is considered
to be economically viable as per the study
conducted by IGL, GAIL has shown interest
in equity participation in TNGCL. The matter
is under active discussion. This may help
in speedy implementation of the project
after restructing of equity participation
of State Govt. And Central Govt. Undertakings.
